Cashier Live

Role: UX, Design & Development

View Prototypes

Web based point-of-sale is a booming industry. I joined Cashier Live in 2013 as their lead product designer. My roles included a complete brand overhaul, concepting a new point-of-sale web app experience (user flows, wireframes & mockups) & front-end coding my designs for hand-off to our team of back-end developers. This has been one of the most challenging & rewarding projects I've ever worked on.

Cashier

Over several months, I designed this web app experience to help store clerks ring up shoppers quickly. Early in my process I performed card sorting exercises to declutter the old user interface into logical areas. Our company was able to streamline the checkout workflow for our diverse set of clientele (ex. Mom & Pop Shops to Pharmacies).

Cashier — Browse View

To accomodate our touch screen users, I created this new browse view for the Cashier page. Instead of only relying on barcode scanners to ring up shoppers. Cashiers can optionally navigate with their fingers.

Manager

Store owners expect a ton of configuration options from their point-of-sale systems. I designed our Manager view so owners can run their business smoothly, reorder inventory, design coupons, generate sales reports, and much more.

Customers

This screen allows store clerks to track their best customer's shopping habits, ring up past transactions for refunds, and save credit cards for future usage.

Settings

Cashier Live was built to scale with our client's business ventures. As they open up new stores, our interface lets them spin up new registers with ease. I designed our settings page to also encourage users to sign up for our match-or-beat credit card processing plan as well.
